Extras

Wow~! I am so proud that we have 100 posts already~! Mine will make it 101 of course. xD

Okay, uhhhh.. Here are some extra pictures Low and I had taken during the day we went for steamboat buffet. She was working on her AFS thingy and I helped her to type a few sentences about her from a friend's point of view. I tried my very best not to include her "real" personalities, of course but I failed a little because I added in that she will embarass herself to the point that the whole class will start laughing at her. Okay, a bit exaggerated but true to an extent. xD

I shoo-ed her away because I wanted it to be a surprise but mana tahu she was enjoying herself behind taking pictures of the "hardworking" me with MY phone.

After enjoying herself behind she came in front instead. Lol. xD

After that when she took over her own work, I decided that it was time for me to enjoy myself instead. =D

As for this picture, we both put in lots of effort because :

1. She was giggling all the way.
2. She just couldn't and still can't pretend to be hardworking.

Heh heh. =)

Oh, and another one.

The infamous Low Mian En that we're all very familiar with. ^^

The Joy and Sorrow of August

It has been a month since my last post huh?
It seems that y interest in blogging, my enthusiasm in everything,
have evaporated from my body. Sigh.
Gah, i need them back.

Back to business. I have so many words to say but i doubt i can spill it all out in one post. First and foremost, I would like to congratulate Mian En for winning a FREE trip to Japan at the end of the year. Like ding said, i knew that you're gonna get it after you were shortlisted to the forgotten-what-programme. Still remember who asked you all to join AFS in the first place, huh? Better thank that "person"! :)
Not to forget Xin Er and Wendy too. Though Xin Er can't make it, it is still a blast that you got it. And, i'm looking forward to see a slim and sexy Wendy after she comes back from Turkey. *wink

Moving on. Trip to Germany huh? :)
It was really fun, like i said to everyone else. I'm lazy to type it out. Pictures will tell the story. :)
The building behind was our living place for the first few days. It was called the Schloss Colditz Castle. Basically, on the first day we did nothing because we gotta wait for the Hongkong team and Japan team to arrive at night. So we just walked around the street.

This lady was our tour guide in Germany. She was as tall as...Michael Jordan (couldn't think of any basketballer). And guess what, she still hadn't knew whether it was a baby girl or boy in her stomach, even though she gonna give birth in 6 more weeks. A surprise, i called it. I think i'm gonna do the same thing when i pregnant. It seemed fun. Lol.

My jaw was opened widely when i saw the number of japanese on the second day; 55 kids and 10 adults. Never i thought that it would be such a large number of people joining this team. Hongkong team was like us, 3 kids and one adult. I was divided into different room and different group from my team, as expected. Nonetheless, i was glad that i had a hongkong-nese, Gigi in same team and room with me. So when the japanese kept talking over don't-know-what with japanese language, Gigi and me would look at each other, saying 'We are being left out, again!'

This is Gigi. I think she is smart. She joins the school debate and, she is now diploma in both her piano and violin grades. Look, how god treats her and she is now only 15. *envy* I communicated with her in cantonese, since you know my cantonese *erhem* is *erhem* kinda *erhem* good. Haha. We often stick together whenever we go.

On second day, we visited Auterwitz to lean different kinds of herbs. We even cook the lunch, (Fake one lah of course, we just cut bawang and some sayur-sayuran.), or helped to cook lunch.
Look how expert i was when it came to cooking. lol, wendy would probably agree with me, right?

One of my favourite picture, despite of the finger

We had treasure hunt in the evening. Guess what the treasures were; *drum rolls* Empty plastic and glass bottles. At the check point, we recycled those bottles through a machine and managed to earn some money.

Let me think what we did on third day. Erm, we visited the organic farm if i had not mistaken. To be frank, i don't really like going to that farm. It was like going to Zoo Negara. But still, i did learn something from there such as how did the animals survive during winter, how we grap(?) milk from cow, the importance of pig (yupe you heard me right, i said pig) and so on. I didn't post the pictures in farm up in facebook as i think it would bore you guys. Pardon me.
In the evening, we visited one of the 21000 windmill in Germany. I thought we got the opportunity to climb all the way up but i was ended up with disappointment. They just gave us a detailed explanation on wind energy, below the windmill. And this was what they called a visit. :S

Fourth day was all about solar panel and do-it-yourself part. I made one and of course, a success one. I wanted to bring it back all the way to Malaysia to let you all see but it ended up broken. It couldn't be helped.
That's the mini solar panels. If you put it under the light, the fan will turn and that's how it work.

We had shopping here. :)

For the next two days, i stayed with host family. That's the homestay programme. Though we had difficulty in communication, they were friendly and kind to both of us, Hikari, my japanese partner, and me. They brought us sight-seeing in Dresden, some castles and mountain.

My host parents and Hikari.

Malaysia team and Hongkong team,

The ang-mo-lang in the first row was our team's translator, who translate german to english. While the lady behind her was the HK's translator. I got very close with her in Germany. I spent my last day in Germany with her after the Japan and HK team left.

Last picture to share with;
Dresden (!)

Overall, nice experience. This is the first time i go somewhere far alone, without the accompaniment of my family or friends. So yeah. :DD

Gathering in 88 steamboat was a blast too.
I guess i don't have to tell the details any more.
I'm sorry that Xin Er and Ding couldn't make it here.
More sorry i am to those people who didn't get any fun.

Crap! I'm horizontally challenging. :(

Not to forget my sweet 16th.
Thanks Wendy and Shieh Er for the bracelet.
Thanks Xin Er for the lotion.
Thanks Low and Ding for the cup.
Thanks Xiao Yan for the book.

Appreciate it much. :)

A lot of things happened to me recently, but i guess i would put a full stop here today.
Chao guys!

Steamboat Buffet = Loads of Fun

YAY!!! Today was sooooooo enjoyable~! I wanna have this kind of gathering again with all of you~! If possible, with Ding and Lee too of course! Everyone was sooo happy especially Xiao Yan. Lol, she was smiling from ear to ear allll the time. Trust me, today was the first time I saw her so happy. xD And Raveena, as usual of course. Lee and Ding, I am sure you guys can imagine her there right? She licked her ice cream in a bowl, what the hell.

So, today SYT, Low, Raveena and I reached reeeeeeally early because we were worried that we might not have place to sit but hey, the restaurant was kinda empty, frankly speaking. And we were like, "Wow, why in the world did we reach so early?!" But it's okay, we had fun making the waitors (Abang in Raveena's case) confused by changing our minds on the choice of soup. HAHAHA. That moment was seriously funny because the expression of the waitors were priceless. Lol!

Then, one by one, the rest reached. Cheryl and Jye Yih reached together, followed by Xiao Yan and then Wendy. So then we started eating with all our might, so that we wouldn't waste money. But the funny part was, after I greedily took soooo much of seafood although I don't eat seafood, Low told me that they charge RM10 for every 100g of leftover. I was like, "Oh, crap." I wasn't even sure if the rest eat seafood. Luckily some of them do but gosh, I took too much lala and none of them really liked lala. But in order not to waste money again, we poured the whole plate of lala into the soup. Xiao Yan and Cheryl were in charged of pouring them into the soup. And guess what? There was this....battle between them and the lala because they were so afraid of lala for don't know what reasons. Haha. Cheryl shouted out of nowhere and I, too shouted with her for no reason. I got frightened. Lol, I think basically because I was afraid of lala too. Not only lala, but seafood in general. I think they look hideous. Heh heh. xD I was like freaking out when I took the prawns and crabs because they were like so ugly especially the prawns with their.... "antenas". Okay, now here's the video of the battle between Xiao Yan and Cheryl and the lalas. For Ding's sake, I've made this video public or else she won't be able to see it. =)

And of course, when we shouted, the customers from tables around us turned towards our direction and gave us funny funny looks. But no one cared and continued to be ourselves since no one knew who we were. Hahaha. =) And after settling the bill, we had a HUGE conflict. No one had small change and three of us paid RM50 each first. Then the problem came in, she gave her this amount, I gave her that amount, everyone gave each other money and we became ................. "CALCULATOR~!" I noticed that the table behind us was staring at us. ALL of them. So embarassing. Oh, another epic part was when Jye Yih "lent" Low her IC. Haha, because without IC, you can't pay for student's price and have to pay for adult's price instead. Luckily the cashier girl did not realise that there were two similar faces. Lol. =P

Here are another two random videos, both recorded by Low. Actually 3 of these videos were all recorded by her. =)

Raveena : I like animals, you don't like meh? Can eat what.
Cheryl Lim : No la, because with all the butter so much like that.. (not sure about this)
Raveena : OH, the three of us like butter. (Raveena, Low and me)

Xiao Yan "dancing".

Sigh, Xiao Yan seriously "danced" when Jye Yih tickled her but too bad, we were too late to record her "dance". This was when the "dance" sort of ended. =(

After that, one by one we went back while the four of us who reached the earliest just now were the latest to return home. >_> So we waited and waited for transport and at last Low's dad said he would fetch us. Raveena and SYT were dropped off at AEON while Low and I went home. I almost doze off on her bed. Lol. Sooooo sleepy but I was surprised because I could stay up this late and blog about today. It's already near to 2.30 am already. I was even shocked that Low is still online. Lol, no choice though, she has to finish up her AFS thingy.

Okay, what's next? PICTURES of course! Everyone loves pictures, right? =) Let's looking at the photos, shall we? ^^

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,

So Ah Dar, we've known each other for 4 years already huh? Can you imagine it? 4 years ago you were just a stranger to me whom I would never ever turn my head around to look at you for a second time upon meeting you and you've now become my darling. LOL. xD

Don't worry. You'll always remain as my Ah Dar.

One simple reason :

Who would ever want to own such an ugly name right? Duh, only you, of course. xDD

Okay okay, that's not it. I know you know. =D

PS : If you're observant enough, you will notice that I've actually altered the time. =P

THANK YOU, MY BUDDHA...

It was like, a week before, when I got to know that the results for the AFS JENESYS Selection was coming out. Sarah told us (Prema and I) that when we were standing by the Biology lab. I was TOO excited, even went to the ICT room to see if I can go online, but no teacher was there. My heart was ... pumping so fast and hard. I kept calling "Prema" (dont know why), and everytime, she would give me that-kind-of stare, asking me to calm down.

Every day, without fail, I'll check my hotmail, with a hope that I could see the word "AFS" in my inbox. And, I got a little disappointed each time. Anyway, I'll get excited again in the next few minutes. I believe, there's hope !!! Every day, I would asked around facebook if anyone got it. I felt happy for those who were chosen, imagining the fun they'll have soon and I started smiling. You know why? Bacause I couldnt control myself not to take part in that imagination.

Three days passed, I began to have a little inbox-phobia. "AFS, AFS, ... are you choosing me??? Come la e-mail...". And I got disappointed.

The night before I received the e-mail, I prayed hard to Kuan Yin and Datuk. "Please, let me get the AFS e-mail, please, and Thank You (x3)". Then I checked my inbox again, but there was no reply from AFS.

The next morning, I prayed again. "Please, let me get the AFS e-mail, please, and Thank You (x3)".

After having my breakfast, I realised that I didn't have the eagerness to check my inbox anymore. Usually, the first thing to do is to check my inbox. But today, surprisingly, I took a long time eating dim sum and read newspapers before I checked my inbox.

Calmly, I opened my inbox. AND I SAW THE WORD "AFS INTERCULTURAL PROGRAMME", with its subject : "Please Complete Your Information On Full-Application In AFS Online Application System‏". Is it you that I am waiting for??? I dont understand but I just hesitated. Then, clicked on.

"Congratulations, you were seleted to participate in an AFS Program.". I was totally paralysed. My eyes grew huge. I maintained that pose for around 1 minute, and I shouted, jumped and then went crazy. My aunt, who was just sitting behind me, was shocked. I didnt explain to her that time though.

The 1st one to know this Shieh Er, since I was chatting with her. The next is Xin Er.

I rushed out to the the phone then started dialling my mom's number. Before I could say anything...
"Got already huh..."
"Yayayayayaya"
"Why're u crying then?"
"No, I am not"
"U want me to call papa? Or u want to call yourself?"
"I will call myself, bye !"

My mom was calm huh... (and my papa too...)

Then, I called Ding. Ding was excited on my behalf. And that moment I was really crying... I must thank her for having such a confidence in me before this. "Thank you, Ding !!!"

I tried to call Yuan Ting but I couldn't get her. Wendy, she knew it before I gave her a call, so... I decided not to call her (I could predict her reaction though--"So???").

I told everyone at home, my grandma, grandpa,... and they started "worrying" for me...

Then, I started searching information -- winter clothes, the climate in Japan and stuffs like that... (efficient, right???)

Thank you, my Buddha !!! Thank you, my family. Thank you, my friends...

JENESYS Selection Camp

Well... I think I need to make a report about the JENESYS Selection Camp...
REALLY REALLY REALLY FUN !!!
I can't really remember the actual schedule so I just summarise it ya !!!
It’s just something like the 1st interview, we played games and some were called to the interview room.

Energizers (GAMES)

1. Ice Breaking

- All of us were required to shake each other’s hand and introduced our name, city and school. At the same time, there were 6 aliens being chosen among us, whom we didn’t know. If the alien shook our hands, they’ll press on our hands 3 times. Later, the victim had to walk 3 steps away quietly and laid down, shouting “I’m Dead!!!”. The normal people would try to identify the aliens but the dead ones couldn’t say a word.

- Prema, who was wanting so much to make new friends, was dead when she shook her first “friend”. She was just beside me but I didn’t notice that alien. Anyway, I didn’t died very early, maybe after shaking 10++ people’s hands… That alien, who shook Prema’s hand earlier, reached me.

Alien: “Had I shaken yours?”
Me: “Maybe, not… I can’t remember whose I shook,”
Alien: “So let’s shake!”
We shake our hands while I introduced myself.
Me: “I’m Low Mian En, from Klang, studying in SMK Convent Klang.”
Alien : “ I’m Aisyah… …” (started pressing my hands)
Me : “You …!!!”
She nodded.

So, I just sit down quietly (shouting “I’m Dead” is too embarrassing), forgetting that I need to walk 3 steps first, and the alien was caught. Finally, all the aliens were caught !!!

2. Tangled !!!

- This was a hard one. In a circle, firstly, everyone, about 17 people, hold the hands of those who were opposite each other but do not hold the same person’s hand. Then, untangled into a big complete circle. Our group was the last one.

I was squatting down in the middle, so you all can't see me !!!

3. Paper, Scissors, Stones (with levels)

- From Tadpoles to Chicken to Snake then lastly Jedai. Tadpoles who won would upgraded to Chicken and so on. However, those who lost would get downgraded (Tadpoles maintained as tadpoles if lost…)

- We had different body language for different stages. A Tadpole had to find another Tadpole to play, and the same goes to the chicken, snake and Jedai. Those who got Jedai would gathered in front of the stage, considered that their task was completed.

- Prema became Jedai 3 times as she thought that Jedai had to search for another Jedai. (I thought that too…) However, I was lucky that I didn’t waste my time because I found Prema to play when we were both Jedais.

Me: “Must we continue the game even we are Jedais?”
Prema : “ I think so, I become Jedai 3 times already…”

I suddenly noticed that lots of people standing in front of the stage and asked them. Luckily I didn’t continue.

- The loser had to write “Miss…(can’t remember)” with their butt. There were 4 losers. It was quite embarrassing for them as everyone, including me, had to watch them doing that.

THERE ARE TOO MUCH GAMES TO TELL LA !!!
Drama, Commercial, Presentations AND A LOT MORE !!!
SO SLEEPY AFTER TYPING !!!

A.E.I.O.U ( JAPANESE VERSION) !!! -- the one that mekes my stomach BURST !!!
--tell you all in school la, if you all wanted to know...

Pesta Bahasa Jepun 2

Okay, although Wendy's in charged of yesterday's report, I still NEED to clarify something.

It's not true that the Ikeabana teacher liked her, okay? I think she likes me more than her. She thought that Wendy was going to give up already. I didn't though. Haha. xD And she wanted to come to our school is also because of ME. =P

And thanks to Yan Ni for entertaining us. You know, like when we became silent because we didn't know what to talk about anymore, she's always there to break the ice. I see a very bright future in her. Oh, and she's "VERY" good in calculating. Lol. I think she costs....RM8.42? MAJOR LOL. I don't remember how much I cost though. xD

Okay, so Ding, here's the link to the pictures in Facebook :

Jaa ne~!
